Pola incorporates her experiences living in Europe and as a missionary,
writer, and actress in her dramatic art works. She is known for her
sculptured canvas paintings, which are simply canvas on canvas using an
acrylic medium and gold leaf. These works are a sublimely suggestive
of a modern version of old Renaissance Europe. She continues to be
intricately involved in world arts and media and pinpoints her passion
for this new-age look to a combination of her interest in modern
advances and Slovak/American background.
Raised on a sheep farm in the Pocono mountains, Pola entered
the arts field upon graduation from High School. She studied art and
drama in NY and Los Angeles, then moved to Rome, Italy where she was
inspired by Danilo Donati to incorporate her art with her dramatic
talent. She has starred in several TV shows, movies and documentaries
and utilizes her artistic talents whenever the need arises. Pola has
designed and built sets, done numerous storyboards, and has even done
much of the sketches for a series of children's books she has written.
