My family did not have much money so I did not go to school dressed to the hilt like most of them did. The kids were so cruel making fun of my clothes, my purse, my shoes and whatever else they could make fun of. It got to where I hated going to high school. I remember a guy who gave one of our heavy set girls his high school ring just so he could win a bet and make money. Then after a week he broke up with her. How do you think she felt?? How did this effect her. She was probably scarred for life. Really wish we could have had access to some books like Adventures In Learning Land then.
